No Plan B, just aim for the dream and don’t stop.

That is how Brandon Beckwith describes his commitment. He still believes in it. I’m curious about how that kind of focus works when a project reaches beyond what one person can do.

Brandon is the founder of International Artists Project and executive producer of The World Album. He set out to bring together music from artists born in every country. Finding those people meant traveling, making connections, and asking others to help him reach people he could not find on his own.

At one point in the search, he realized he could not afford to visit every country. He still wanted to complete the project. How would he keep going?

That is the part of his story I want to explore with you. Referrals helped the search grow. The artists began sharing stories and cultures, and a community took shape around the music. What helped people stay involved while the vision was still becoming real?

If you have a music project you care deeply about, you may recognize that moment when the goal still matters, but your way of getting there needs another look. Who could help you find the next connection? What could someone else contribute that you cannot bring to the project yourself?

Brandon’s “No Plan B” belief gives us an interesting place to begin. How much room does commitment leave for changing the method? What becomes possible when people share responsibility for something they want to create?
