With cancer–more than any other disease–there are many decisions and treatment options. You may go into the arena thinking that the medical professionals will be making the decisions, but you may learn the hard way that that isn’t true. We as loved ones, caregivers and family members can support, guide, and even add our own opinion–but if we force the patient to go a specific way and the outcome is not good–how will we live with that burden? My guests are Dr. Sashi Reddy, who specializes in Hematology and Medical Oncology at Texas Oncology, and Alan Wright, chaplain at the Baylor Charles A. Sammons Cancer Center.
