CANCER S.O.S. on Monday, November 14th, at 2:00 p.m. EST on www.W4WN.com
ELYN JACOBS, CANCER COACH
As a survivor, Elyn was fortunate to find the right treatment for her invasive breast cancer. Her mother wasn’t so fortunate, and she died from breast cancer shortly after Elyn was diagnosed. A year later, her sister was also diagnosed. When women with breast cancer started contacting Elyn for advice, she decided that Wall Street didn’t need her–those women did. In her own words: “To me, it is not enough just to be treated for cancer. To me, we endure cancer treatments to live, so quality-of-life after treatment is important. To me, information is power and women should be empowered to take control, to make decisions based on their own needs for their own cancer.” Those of you who have read The Saving of Gordon: Lifelines to W-I-N Against Cancer will find that message very familiar. I wrote the book that Elyn lives through support for breast cancer patients. This hour will be full of information that every cancer patient should hear.
