Debi, a mother of six and grandmother of four, was diagnosed with pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor (pancreatic NET), a type of neuroendocrine tumor that forms in the endocrine tissues of the pancreas. For years, Debi was misdiagnosed with gastrointestinal pain. When a CAT scan finally exposed a tumor, Debi had surgery to remove it, but over the next two years Debi’s pain returned and she became diabetic. Subsequent scans ultimately revealed the cancer had spread to her liver and lymph nodes. Today, Debi continues to work with her healthcare team to manage her disease. She says her faith, family, and close friends have been her greatest support through her journey with pancreatic NET.
