Lynch Syndrome is a silent killer. The 500,000 to 900,000 undiagnosed U.S. victims of this inherited genetic mutation may have no idea that they carry an 85% risk of developing colon cancer, and (for women) a 65% risk of endometrial cancer. March 22nd is Lynch Syndrome Hereditary Cancer Awareness Day. The goal is to bring attention to this condition, and encourage everyone to be proactive in learning about their family medical histories. My guest is Linda Bruzzone, CEO/Executive Director at Lynch Syndrome International. (If you miss it during the week, it will be rebroadcast on Saturday, March 24th, at 4:00 p.m. EST on W4WN.)
